CII Resources
Extensive CII resources to add you on your decarbonisation journey
What is CII?
The requirement to demonstrate operational carbon intensity reduction through the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) will enter into force alongside the introduction of the Energy Efficiency Existing Ships Index (EEXI). The CII is an efficiency indicator that measures a vessel’s carbon intensity over time. We have collated a number of free resources for our users that cover the requirements of CII, how the calculation works, and what you can do to improve your score.

Discover: The CII Impact
Given the potential costs to owners and operators, as well as the likely surge in demand for the installation of energy efficiency technologies, calculating the CII for each vessel is advisable as soon as possible to allow for planning and budgeting. Vessels that cannot demonstrate compliance to the EEXI and CII regulations by the vessel-specific deadline may be unable to trade internationally.
Commission an Idwal Decarbonisation Report for more clarity and practical customised recommendations. This is a personalised multi-page document that will determine your EEXI and CII scores and will provide benchmarking, timeline for changes, reduction technologies and recommended actions for improvement.
Watch: What is CII? Webinar
Hosted by Head of Sales, Adam Compton and joined by Head of Marine Standards, Steffan Henry and Sales Executive, Benjamin Thomas, the webinar covers the fundamentals around the requirements of CII, how the calculation works, the important deadlines, and what you put in place now to improve your score.
