Core to Idwal’s screening service is the Idwal Grade, enabling you to understand the condition of any vessel at a glance. The Idwal Grade is an industry-recognised score from 0 to 100 that reflects vessel condition and allows market comparisons to other vessels of similar type and age. The screening service uses two versions of the Idwal Grade as follows:

Where an inspected Idwal Grade is unavailable, surpervised machine learning models, trained on our dataset ofover 12,000 inspections, generate an estimated Idwal Grade. On average, these are within 3 points of the actual grade.
